Hi everyone! Just wanted to share a quick review today... Or rather, a quick rave. I've been using and loving this for so long and can't believe that I didn't review it until I have completed the bottle!
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation is a favourite amongst lots of beauty bloggers and youtubers. I was tempted by them and hunted this down - long before Nars came to our shores and I am very glad I did! I got mine in the shade Fiji and it was a perfect match for my skin colour and tone.
The glass bottle is nice and sturdy, although definitely not travel friendly because it is rather bulky and heavy. The bottle has a rubberised cap which can get dirty easily and it has no pump. Why, Nars? Why can't you just add a pump?
Anyway, putting aside the packaging issues, this foundation provides a lightweight medium coverage without looking cakey. I don't agree on the "sheer" part - it is not sheer! I can wear this on my not-so-great days, and I can get away with just minor concealing. If you have flawless skin and want to look as though you don't have makeup on, this is not for you. For people with minor pigmentation issues, I think this is great for giving a flawless I-have-makeup-on-but-not-too-much face.
On my very dry skin, I think it's very comfortable and not too drying like some foundations can get. It dries down very fast though, so some quick work is needed. I tried to dot all over my face before blending, and found that some dots were hard to blend. -.- Would definitely recommend doing sections of the face by sections.
I do have to say, despite the name "Glow", it does not keep the "glow" for long. Within a couple of hours, my skin is back to its very dry state and looks dull. But freshly applied, I do look like my skin is fresh and not so dry, which is already quite impressive. It does have very good staying power, lasting through my work day.
In all, I really do like this foundation and will most likely be repurchasing very soon since I have finished mine. :)
