Hi everyone! I have a really quick review today for you - wanted to get this post up before everything is sold out! Anyway, the item that I have up for review today is MAC Satin Powder Blush in Small Vanity from the new Glamour Daze collection.
Just a quick overview of the collection - there were 2 Extra Dimension Skinfinish, 3 Blushes, a number of eyeshadows, lip gloss and lipsticks. I already own both extra dimension skinfinish from a prior launch and everything else didn't look that exciting to me. Small Vanity was the only item that I couldn't stop myself from picking up, because amazingly, I felt that I didn't have anything similar in my ginormous makeup collection.
MAC Satin Powder Blush in Small Vanity is described as a "dusty rose tan". It has a satin finish, which gives off some sheen when applied to the cheeks - sheen, not shimmer. It looks kind of glowy without the shimmer bits. I think the description of "dusty rose tan" is spot on.
The blush has excellent pigmentation; below, I have a heavy finger swatch and a lighter swatch using a fluffier brush. If you're very fair, do tap off excess powder. On my dry skin, the staying power was good - some color was still visible after a long day at work - and blends easily.
Final verdict: I am definitely glad I picked this up. As I expected, I really did not have anything similar in my collection - and I have a huge collection. I think it's a really nice unique colour to have - whether or not you have a large collection.
Did you pick up anything else from the collection? I hope you've had a great day and have enjoyed this post. :)
