September was a seriously hectic month - I felt seriously out of breath all month, and barely had enough time to do my makeup before running out the door. So this month, a lot of emphasis was on quick and easy makeup - I had a little box by my table filled with daily essentials that I just repeatedly used because I had no time to think in the morning about what to use.
I've been loving my Laura Mercier Undercover Pot; I have had this for a long time and as you can see, I have hit pan in a big way. I love how it goes on so easily and stays all day. It's also small and easy for me to carry around for touch ups, with a little pot of setting powder included. I have finished the included setting powder a long time ago, but I just refill it with my own.
My skin has been behaving well this month so I have just been slapping on my La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Tinted Cream; I just wanted to look natural yet have enough SPF protection, so this was perfect. Plus, no blending was really required because the tint is not very pigmented. I just use some of the powder in my undercover pot to set this in place, just because I don't like the tacky feeling it leaves behind.
To give my skin some healthy glow, I have been reaching for my The Body Shop Bronze Shade in Warm Glow; I don't even know when this was from - I fished it out of my drawer and have been absolutely loving it. It reminds me of MAC MSFs, but this gives a nice light bronzing effect, unlike most MSFs which are often highlighters, and really makes your skin glow. I don't know how I could have neglected this.
For the eyes, I have been reaching for MAC Paintpot in Nubile as a base for all of my eye looks; I completed my Urban Decay Primer Potion early in the month, so have been using this as an alternative till I get a replacement and this has managed to keep my eyeshadows on really well. It does however darken my eye area a little bit because I am rather fair - and would prefer one that goes on clear, so I will be on the lookout for a new primer.
Last but not least is my Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink. It feels a little boring, but this was the fastest thing I could do - just a swipe of paintpot and a light wash of any eyeshadow with a flick of eyeliner.
How was your September and what have you been loving?
Thank you for reading. :)
