Haul time: Chanel E/S in Fauve, Clear Glossy, Watsons

Another haul!

Man, twice in 2 days. I am going to be bankrupt at this rate! Somebody tie me up! Cut my cards up! I wasn't going to haul anymore until at least the next payday after yesterday's haul (which came up to more than $130) but I had to walk past Robinsons during lunch today, and something taupe-y caught my eye. I walked closer; could I be wrong? I think it's flirting with me! I caressed it; and I felt it with me throughout the rest of the workday and I just couldn't stop myself from staring at the spot where it touched me. All day long I couldn't think of anything else but the soft touch of Fauve on my hands, its shy glittery mauve-taupe-ness. And when the time came to knock off work, I ran all the way back to Robinsons, and left with Fauve safely in my arms.

Beautiful. And it's so smooth and its glitter is quite subtle, not like "da-bling!". This is actually my very first Chanel eyeshadow - I really hated the texture of the quads because the colour payoff is awful. But when I touched this one, it's a whole different story; it's extremely smooth and just simply glided on in all its mauve-taupe gloriousness. Gorgeous. There were other 3 singles that were released with this; I really like the pink one, but couldn't bear to part with another S$48 for a single eyeshadow. This is by far my most expensive eyeshadow. I feel like spanking myself because I never ever lusted after Chanel eyeshadows. Until now. And after I realised how smooth and how amazing the colour payoff for its single eyeshadows can be, I suspect there will be more to come...

Also got a sample tube of Chanel Le Blanc Light Mastering Whitening Fluid Foundation in B20 Beige to try out. I wanted to try Mat Lumiere initially, but this was all they had in terms of sample tubes so I took this instead. Have to say that the Chanel MA was really lovely. She really spent a good amount of time scrambling through her stash to find me any samples at all. But in my giddy Fauve-induced happiness, I forgot to thank her or ask her for her name (and they all look alike with their white uniform so I can't tell apart one from the other).

Then I walked past Watsons on the way home and saw the double-points for Members sale! Decided to get some backup for my facepowder since I'm running out and one of the ones I'm left with, I totally hate. Bought a new one from a brand I have never heard before - Clear Glossy, from Japan, which promised a computer-touched-up effect! Had to try it. Yes, I am gullible and I get tricked by gimmicks all the time. But I think people don't have to be so smart - life is difficult for smart people. I think my SO is really smart, but that also meant that he had to work really really hard as well because he has a much better job, and I believe that people are not paid more just because they are smarter, but because they are smarter and therefore expected to produce more and earn more for the company. I love my beauty sleep, and I enjoy trying out stuff even when the claims are most probably not true, so being not so smart is good. :) Then also bought some Watsons-brand little boxes of cotton buds and cotton puffs just because they were in clear square boxes. Love. I love organising things. :D

Am in a state where the world is beautiful, looking through my Fauve-tinted glasses. :)
