Some language humour:

A Tamil music video

The Finnish theme song to Duck Tales

The second one especially had me in stitches, as I often wonder how our language sounds to the ear of the outsider. Taco nazi, ahaha.

Those were really funny! Thanks for making me laugh, first days at work after holidays tend to be a bit depressing...

I thought it was a pretty good song, too. I mean, how smooth is he?

"George Michael lives in India now?" said the guy who sits next to me at office... ;-)

It sounds just as complicated as I know it to be. Now, had I heard Finnish before knowing anything about it, I'd probably say "Hmm ... that sounds vaguely Japanese, but it's got some extra sounds. Weird."

Now I know better.

Anybody need this sign, Benny Lava?

I think you'll find this kind of amusing:

this song is about medical students (in love. with dance troupes. in a field. it's a little pragmatically strained, no?)

Heh, yeah. I had read that (and this world clearly needs more medical students breaking into impromptu dance numbers), and I disagree with them in that I think most of the lines really work. Although, I'd probably have gone with "Benny Lover", because that's who he is.

Japanese, really? There's syllabic similarity that I can also see, but I've always regretted that I can't hear the rhythm of the speech separate from the content, like I can with other languages.

The Japanese-sounds to me are the short, clipped phenomes like "the holy known", "sappy noun", and "taco Nazi" portions. The "Baha" part helps a bit, too.

Do you have the lyrics in Finnish?

I can transcribe it for you (after Heroes, which is starting right around now :-p ).
