So I've been working on this notebook of Spanish/English vocab for Sandra/Hingler/Kenia(sp?) so they can learn English
And I teach Sandra and Hingler English when we're done with our shifts or when we're on breaks
(Kenia works in the morning, so I have yet to meet her)
Also Sandra is very deeply interested in my church, and me and Petey have been talking to her and we've given her information. She seemed very excited to get it.
I hope that turns out well. I have a feeling it will. =D
I love languages. I think that might be my major. I want to learn a ton of languages. My psychologist knows a guy that speaks 27 languages. I'd like to do something like that. I definately want to know Spanish, ASL (American Sign Language), Russian, various other spin-offs of Russian since the USSR broke up, Italian, French, German, Hawaiian, Arabic, Greek, Latin(though it's not really spoken much), Chinese, Japanese, whatever else they speak over in all those other countries. I know, you all prolly think I'm crazy, but I really enjoy trying to learn new languages. What I'd do with all the languages, I don't know. But I like knowing things. I hate the English language; well, more like.. Lit class (ie: writing, reading boring crap, etc). I hear BYU-Provo is the best place to learn all the languages (that's where above 27-language guy learned all his languages) because of the MTC and return missionaries that lived all over the world... But I don't really want to go to Provo's(Utah), nor Idaho's. I want to go to BYU-Hawai'i. That place is the other center of various languages and people from diff. countries, besides Provo. Hmmmph! choices choices. Hawai'i's is the hardest one to get into, but the cheapest, plus I love Hawai'i, and I wont go as island crazy as others cuz I'm used to being there. I don't know!! Ah! I just want to have an idea of what my major might be before I get to college, so I don't go through a ton of crap like my siblings have had to go through. So, I've semi-narrowed it down to: languages, psychology, sociology, music, astronomy, meteorology, history (World/European/whatever). Oh and with all of those, the possibility of teaching them. Hah, yeah. Dream on, eh? But hey, they're the things that interest me most.
It took me a good few tries to switch back to English so I could write this entry. It reminds me of when I leave the Don't-Speak-English-Or-Mrs.E-Will-Shoot-You-With-The-Dart-Gun-And/Or-Give-You-An-Evil-Glare-And-Say-"¡Liliana, en español!"-And-Fail-You atomosphere and I have to switch back to speaking english once I leave the classroom.
*sigh* I should probably go head to bed, being as it's nearly 3am. and I have to be at work in 12 hours. which means, visit me! cuz... that would be cool. Like the weather outside.
goodnight/morning! <3
