Boy it has been so long since I last update. My life has changed so much in the past uhhhh 33 weeks. im just gonna get it out of the way and mention the break up. It sucked at first but you eventually get over it and realize you don't need anyone in your life except yourself. One of the things that I learned is that no one is gonna do anything for you, and you can only rely on yourself. I've been thinking a lot lately about karma and how I like to try so hard to be a good person and I want to try to make other peoples lives better. This might be one of the reasons I love food so much because you can make people happy, in these past few months I have really started to refine the food and I cook and it feels good, lately I have been cooking jason dinner after it slows down and the last few tables have sat. I just cook him chicken or steak or something with a nice reduced sauce with different flavorings. Then saturday night I seared a bluefish filet and stewed some squash in tomato sauce and did sort of a ratatouille with a lemon buerre blanc sauce. I sauced it at the last minute and gave it to him. I went out to the dining room a few mins later to see what p he thought and he looks at me and says "dude this is sensational, all of the flavors blended amazingly together. The fishes skin was perfectly crisp but it was still sooooo moist. Amazing." I like to hear him say that not because it strokes my ego but because I know he just had an amazing food expereince which is what I like to go for. Yesterday I made us some shrimp brochettes with a sauce paloise which was pretty good although the shallots caramelized a little to much for my liking. My car has been breaking sorta so I don't have as much money as I would like but its ok cause I have an 8 day vacation coming up and then another 4 in indian head. This is justttt what I need to clear my head. I went to no.9 park with sarah on monday and we had an amazingggg 7 course meal. She got a vegiterian one and I got the normal, the GM found out I worked at a restaurant and when I asked to add on the foie gras course he said it was free! Seriously it was the best meal everrrr. I got to meet the sous chef and I set up a day for me to go in this week and work a shift or two and in the future hopefully work there fulltime. Cause I def can't stand ashmont to much longer. Anyway I guess this is a good enough post considering I never post. See ya 33 weeks from now.
