Third Generation Special

Jun 08, 2011 14:14

Yeah, "Third Generation Special" has to be one of the lamest names for a Kennedy fanfic project that anyone has ever devised, but oh well. At first, I thought this up because I need to get used to writing more, especially since I plan on going back to college this fall. I've grown to like the idea. I decided to pic a subject I'm really into right now, the third generation Kennedys (kids of Jack and Bobby and all). This post is actually gonna be a collection of bios of each character in my fics. Well, they are real people, but I'm writing how I see them in my stories. I own none of these people, but I'm a HUGE fan and an artist. All out of love. All fiction. What they did/do in their personal lives it's no one's business but their own.

These stories will take place in the 70s and 80s. Remember, this is all fiction. If you want the real bios of these people, google them or read a book. These are all my fantasy, fanfiction character ideas. Many sprung from facts, but still fiction. Anyways, these bios do not cover ALL the people in the stories, but simply the main characters.

Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. AKA Bobby
Born January 17, 1954

Bobby is the second eldest son of the late Robert F. Kennedy and his only wife Ethel Skakel Kennedy. He loves animals, nature, and can be a bit of a hippie at times. Despite being very much a leader, he is anti-war and does his best to get along with everyone (of course, there are the normal sibling arguments, but every family has that). Despite bearing his fathers name and some of his traits, many see much of his Uncle Jack in his personality. Bobby is very strong and can face anything life throws at him, but like any human being, he still finds himself turning to some addiction (drugs). He does eventually get clean, but that will take place later on in the stories. After his father died, he latched onto Lem Billings, (best friend of his late Uncle Jack) as a father figure. Many wrongly believe Lem got Bobby and the boys into drugs, but in reality, the boys discovered this world on their own before Lem ever used with them. Of all the boys in their little posse, Bobby is Lem's favorite.

Christopher Kennedy Lawford AKA Chris
Born March 22, 1955
Chris is the son of Peter Lawford and Patrica Kennedy, who are now divorced when the stories take place. The only boy of all his siblings, he is a bit of a goofball and a party animal. His best friend is his cousin Bobby. Growing up around his father's crowd, drugs and alcohol always seemed to be available for him. Much like his cousin, he became addicted, but later gets clean and goes on to lead a long healthy life. Chris is also part of the posse who hangs out with Lem. He is fine with Bobby being the favorite, but playfully practices a sort of rivalry with him and swoops in whenever Bobby and Lem have a confrontation (those don't usually last too long though).

David Anthony Kennedy
Born June 15, 1955

David is the third eldest son of RFK and Ethel Skakel Kennedy. He is not as bold or outgoing as his older brothers. His personality is a lot like his father's. He can appear very much pure and innocent, but has a hidden smart, ruthless, and mischievous side. He is very friendly and fun to get along with. He was very much attached to his father and seemed to have lost a part of himself when he lost him. He had a void inside him that he always tried to fill, but nothing ever seemed to work. He turned to drugs, and those seemed to help at the time, but in the end, they lead to his own demise. (But possibly a reuniting with his late and beloved father in the afterlife??) He gets clean at one point, but ends up getting back into the world of addiction and dies of an overdose in the 80s. David is the other boy in the posse that hangs with Lem.

Michael LeMoyne Kennedy AKA Mikey
Born February 27, 1958

Mikey is the fourth eldest son of RFK and Ethel Skakel Kennedy and the last of their sons to be born in the 50s (Kerry was the last of all the kids to be born in the 50s, being born in 59). At the times these stories take place, he seems quite a bit attached to his mother. Of all the kids, he most resembles his father in looks, making the bond between him and his mother close by default. His personality also shows some signs of his late father. Throughout his life, he does all he can to live life his way, but finds the third generation is not nearly as untouchable by moral and society's judgement that the second and first Kennedy generations were. He lives in a time where scandal and "immorality" aren't nearly as ignored as they used to be. He learns this all the hard way, but keeps on going and never strays from who he is inside.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr.
Born November 27, 1960

John is the eldest son (his younger brother Patrick lived for only days before passing onto the next world) of John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis. He more resembles his mother in looks, but has his father's charm and charisma. He is more of an artist like his mother and ends up very attached to her as time goes on. He quickly grew used to attention from society because of his parents' fame, and it didn't seem to phase him. He is a bit of an exhibitionist and doesn't seem to care who sees his body, which he seems to take good care of. He seems to be the most admired and most famous of the Third Generation Kennedys.

Caroline Bouvier Kennedy
Born November 27. 1957

Caroline is the younger daughter (a year before, her sister Arabella was born, but stillborn) of JFK and Jackie Kennedy. She more resembles her father's family in looks. Despite her family's fame and money, she doesn't come off as spoiled or snotty. She was very attached to her father until his untimely death. She then transferred her attachment to her Uncle Bobby until his own death 5 years later. At the time of these stories, she seems to get along well with her Uncle Ted, but for some reason there's a bit of tension between her and her mother. They love each other like a mother and daughter do, but their still seems to be some odd rift in their relationship. From losing both her father and her "favorite" uncle, she seems to have developed a complex that every man she truly loves is taken away from her. She is not very approving of her mother's marriage to Aristotle Onassis.

Second Generation Adults

Kirk LeMoyne Billings AKA Lem
Born April 15. 1916

Lem befriend JFK during their schooldays. They became best friends up until JFK's death in 1963. He stayed close to the family up until his own death. When Jack died, a piece of Lem seemed to have died with him. RFK's death just pulled more out of him, for he loved both men very much. Lem was homosexual and never married. He was very much in love with JFK and would do anything for him. After RFK died, Lem took over as a father figure to his son Bobby. He saw a lot of JFK and RFK both in the boy. The two grew extremely close and hung out all the time along with the rest of their little posse. Lem was addicted to drugs and alcohol and used with the boys, but he was not the force that encouraged them to start. He is very close to the boys up until he his death in the 80s.

Ethel Skakel Kennedy
Born April 11, 1928

Ethel was born into the Skakel family and married RFK in 1950 and stayed with him until his death in 1968. They had 11 kids together. Despite having so many kids, she managed to be close to and love all of them individually. She very much misses her late husband, but is happy to his spirit very much kept alive in their children. She seems to have a bit of a rivalry with Jackie.

Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis AKA Jackie
Born July 28, 1929

Jackie was born into the Bouvier family and married JFK in 1953 and stayed with him until his death in 1963. Their marriage has it's share of ups and downs all along the way, but they seemed to grow very close in the later years. The death of their second son brought them extremely close together, only for JFK to die months later by assassination. After that, Jackie went on raising their children. Many rumors circulated of her and many rich/well known men and even rumors of her and her brother-in-law RFK surfaced. It was for sure true JFK's death brough the two very close though. In 1968, she married Aristotle Onassis and was with him until his death in 1975. Jackie loves to ride horses and take photos. She is very cultured and enjoys the fine arts. She seems to have a rivalry with Ethel, despite both women being loved and adored in the family. Ethel embodies all that is the Kennedys; athleticism, closeness, fun, and fertility. Jackie is more reserved and had troubles with having children. Even though Jackie was seen as more "beautiful" she couldn't help but fear Ethel was "better" than she was.

Edward Moore Kennedy AKA Ted
Born February 22. 1932

Ted is the youngest of the Second Generation Kennedys and the only living son of that generation at the time these stories take place. In 1958, he married Joan Bennett and has 3 kids with her. Their marriage has many hard times with both taking up drinking. They end up divorcing in 1980 and Ted later marries Victoria Reggie after he turns his life around. Despite being born the baby of his family, he fast has to take on many responsibilities and ends up being the default leader of his clan. At first, he makes many human mistakes and it all seems too much for him, but he turns it all around and proves he is capable of keeping the spirit alive. He tends to be a goofball and loves to joke around and have fun, but is also very capable of being a leader and taking charge.

Poll Favorited Character Based on bios...
This whole idea probably makes it look like I have no life. Oh well. I have a life, I just have passions and hobbies too! Okay, I'm tired now. I apologize for typos. I'll fix them later.
