I'm overjoyed for you, Bethany, that you're still having such strong feelings. You don't need to expect it to never end, because true love never dies. You have to stop being over-critical of yourself. This underserved love that you mention, that's the beauty of God. You see yourself as this person whom no one would want or want to care for, but look at all God has bestowed upon you. A loving husband, a nice apartment, a good job, good friends, the list goes on. God doesn't hold grudges or holds you accountable for your actions in this life. All it takes is belief and trust to earn God's grace and mercy. No special actions or lifestyles, doing this or doing that. It's freely given, for all who want it. It's just like Marion's love. Even when you're feeling down, or stupid, or ugly, or like a horrible person, he still loves you, and always will. You shouldn't be saying "I don't deserve this." You should instead be exploring the question of "Why, after all the wrongs I've done, am I still being blessed?" Once you find the answer to that question, life's all downhill :)
