OMG 7 weeks! I would be shitting my panties too. BIG YAY though cause that means so much sooner that you get to meet your little one. Way to go with not finding out. We aren't either, nor did we the first time. So much fun this way. Do you have names? Sorry about your placenta :( taking it easy is good, and trust me, savor the lazy time while you have it. Seriously. I worked up until 37 weeks and was induced with my first...delievered 10 days early via c-section as he was not progessing with induction...but 24 hrs later we had our 9.85lb baby boy!
Planning another c-section this time on April 18. Unless of course someone decides to come earlier. Again, planning to work up to the date but SOOOOOOOO looking forward to time off. I cannot even explain.
Overall have felt great, luckily the case both times. No morning sickness etc. Some weird aches and pains - last time it was carpal tunnel for a while, this time it is some annoying searing pain in my inner thigh, plus the regular pregnancy symptoms etc. but nothing major so glad about that.
Nesting mode will kick in for sure. I think it did for me in the last 2 weeks. I meman hello, I washed the outside of my clean washer and dryer. I was a freak. This time I have nothing ready nursery wise. I have a plan and more or less all the major furniture stuff, oh but do need to buy a new crib since I got rid of the old one. It will all come together. I just keep telling myself that.
Please keep me updated!!!! 7 weeks is going to be here before we know it. YAY!
My husband isn't too thrilled with waiting to find out the sex, but I jokingly told him, "If you can wait 9 months to find out the paternity, you can wait 9 months to find out the sex!" heehee Some people have been downright annoyed that we're not finding out! It cracks me up. I would love to know what the percentage is of people who choose to keep it a surprise because it seems really small by everyone's reactions.
I don't know how you make it working up to the date, seriously. My hat and pregnancy pants are off to you. It takes me 3 times longer to do anything at this stage and my mental faculties are awful. I can only imagine it would take me that much longer to mentally complete a task as well. I was going to substitute teach this entire winter but with my placenta issues we decided not to simply because if something were to happen at school I would act first and forget I was pregnant... whether that's carrying a child, or popping up out of my seat in an emergency or something.
Other than the previa I haven't had any issues at all with being pregnant. I had one day where I was nauseous from 10am-9pm and I couldn't eat anything, but other than that it's been absolutely normal. My most consistent pain issue started at about 8 weeks and has continued on to today and that's when I stand up too fast using my abdominal muscles I get a pull in my groin where my leg connects to my torso. I literally have to slowly get up or down or else I can't stand up straight and I have to sit back down and rest until it goes away.
I would like the nesting to kick in, but at this point I'm kinda like eh, what's on the internet?! instead. I've been doing little things here and there but nothing that constitutes actual nesting.
