So, finally, after some delay, the Television Drama Awards were announced (or haha, like the Japanese Emmy's, or something like that) for Summer....and ROOKIES walked away pretty big, which wasn't surprising. I'm really glad Shida Mirai nailed the Best Actress too. It was well deserved. And in some weird sense, Yamada Yu was pretty impressive too, in her role. Maou didn't walk away with ANYTHING. Well then again, I'm not too surprised. I wasn't that impressed by the drama either.
Speaking of Shida Mirai, I finished Queen's Classroom not too long ago. HANDS DOWN BEST DRAMA EVER. Honestly, if you haven't watched it, WATCH IT NOW. Yuki Amami is really, really great in this role...and for Shida Mirai too, as a newcomer. I was absoltely crying buckets over this drama. My eyes puffed up and I couldn't see anymore, haha. I think it sends out a really important message. Now that I think about it, It's kind of like what Oda Yuji's drama tried to pull off this year, but instead you insert Yuki Amami's militant behavior. Either way, Queen's Classroom is the ULTIMATE school drama. Not to mention, EXILE sings a catchy theme song as well, accompanied by Yuki Amami's funtastic dancing skills with her dancing crew. Her Takarazuka Revue days really paid off in this clip, haha.

Dear god, this part made me cry out LOUD. I think you have to watch the whole series to fully understand why this part was truly significant. There are even two specials when is even sadder than the original series. And no, this is not a drama filled with people with terminal diseases.I WON"T SAY ANYMORE JUST WATCH IT ALREADY. Yuki Amami was already my favorite actress before this...and well, she like proved it 100x more after this drama. Not to mention, she's strikingly beautiful!
Now that I think about it, I think I have a thing for Takarazuka performers (i.e. Miki Maya, Yuki Amami and Hitomi Kuroki).
