It's American Liberation day today, not that it means a hill of beans to me. Greetings to my American friends though who celebrate it.
i'll do the Friday Five today as it is a much more general range of topics.

1) What one event from your lifetime would you change if you could, and why? Good question! One to ponder on for sure; i'll ignore the bits of me and give my father another 10 years - Who was it said only two things were certainties and unchangeable, death and taxes? Didn't say anything about getting a rain-check!
2) If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be and how old would your younger self be when they got it? Do you think your younger self would listen? Whatever bad happens to you, you will get through it and become a real survivor, because you are much more important than you think, you matter. Starting about 16, i think, and given with strength and confidence; yes, i think i'd listen.
3) If you could have a conversation with the historical figure of your choosing, whom would you pick and why? What would you talk about?
4) There are many things that we've lost from the past - how to make Roman concrete, countless episodes of Dr. Who, most of the plays about Oedipus, my favourite stuffed animal . . . . What one item or secret would you retrieve if you had the power to do so?
5) What would you like to say to people in the future?
