Dealing with big companies can be very frustrating - in my case, Royal Mail.  i bought a couple of lovely tees online from a US company and they were duly despatched (i discovered later) in decent time.  Trouble started on arrival here.  Parcel went it's usual roundabout way of delivery, via a couple of hubs before arriving in the Cambridge area.  i always give overseas items a decent delivery time, so allowed from middle of August to now.  No delivery.  i emailed company asking for an update on the non-delivery and they replied stating according to their records, parcel had already been delivered on 15th August.  They suggested i contact RM and get a 'compensation code' so they can claim and send me another order.

i duly went online to the main RM website to see how to do that.  Well, i spent a long time weaving my way around the 'menus' and it really was a ring-around-the-roses and ended up where i started pretty much!  However, i managed to find a phone number to ring and worked my way through their menus and spent the next 15 minutes or so in line waiting to speak to the next available person.  They did advise it could be a long process but this was my only option.  i eventually spoke to a nice lady who took all of the information onboard and checked the code RM had left for the 'delivery'.  i explained about the Terrace and the mostly absent occupant of that #10 (but occupant would have brought it to me on his return anyway) and yes, she could see the problem.  She took all the salient details, gave me a reference number and promised an investigation forthwith and an email with results, hopefully in about 5 days or so. *fingers crossed*  i so advised my supplier.  So now i wait.

It's all about deliveries and returns today.  i returned an item to the Easy Life company via a duly authorised courier and sat back waiting for my refund.  Nothing so far.  Emailed EL and now i wait for their reply too.   i'm now in the mood for a fight!  Life wasn't meant to be easy!  i know it's all relative but the time it takes is truly infuriating and makes my blood boil.

And the next Sept question - 7. Have you ever called in sick to work when you weren't actually ill but didn't want to give the real reason?  Yes, i did a few times in my career but never overdid it.  Sometimes you just have to take a break. Some companies nowadays actually allow employees to do that, amazingly!

Can i go out and kill someone now? Oh alright, just a severe beating?!
