Cherik Sims: Update #2
Was supposed to be busy with translating scripts yesterday but I suddenly got this crazy idea to get my Cherik sims a better home - one that better resembles Weschester Mansion, as compared to the previous one I had them live in - and, as expected, what was supposed to be just a "short project" (that I was planning to do for a couple of hours) ate my whole day! Y_Y But since I finally, got to move Charles and Erik in their new home and they seem to have liked it, I guess, the time I wasted, wasn't wasted at all! And it made all my effort worth it. Hehe. So here you go, I took some screencaps to show ya'all because this post would be boring and useless otherwise!
Before anything else, lemme make it clear that this house isn't my creation. I just downloaded it (and the old X-Mansion) from [here]. This was originally named Regent House but now, of course, it shall be called The (new) X-Mansion!... in my game. *_*

Okay so, its not exactly like the Westchester Mansion from XMFC but its close (depends on how you look at it. XD). And the grounds is HUGE (60x60). So it is kinda "mansion-y" in its appeal. Plus, the brick finish of the entire house resembles the color of the real one, so yeah, that's one of the things that got me sold. ^_^
I had a bit of a challenge with this new place though because it didn't have a large enough room which could serve as the library cum games room where Charles and Erik could have their regular private chess game together - their "special place" as I'd like to call it. And of course, what would a Cherik Sims game be without them playing chess?! So since this was a very important room for me to have in my "X-Mansion", I had to sacrifice a huge space on the first floor which was allotted for the master's bedroom/toilet&bath/laundry area (moved everything to the second floor), for this purpose. I also had to install a second fire place in the new room (which is a pre-requisite for this room) and tried my best to decorate it in a way that would feel homey and have that 1960's appeal. I don't think I captured the latter though but I felt good about it nonetheless.

Still looks kinda bare and not as cramp and cozy (I think) as their previous games room, but for now it serves its purpose and I am a peace with it. ^_^
Okay so its time to play chess!
I let them play for as long as they like, with Charles winning the first game and Erik second. Charles gave up after that and just contented himself with watching Erik practice on his own until he got hungry and got up. Hehe, I love Erik's expression there.
For the most part, when I am not letting them roam freely around the estate, go out into the city or play chess or woohoo, I let them talk to each other as that is what I imagine Charles and Erik would really do when they're together aside from having sex. And they do enjoy talking! Except when Charles starts talking about Science stuff then Erik makes that expression on the second panel. Lol.
Once the renovations were done, I also did some alterations on their looks. I wasn't satisfied with some of Erik's current facial features as I felt there was something not quite right. So I did some jaw/mouth/eyes adjustments and I think I am happy with his look now. As for Charles, very minor changes with his nose, lips, and jaws plus! I made him a bit chubbier than before because I just love him that way and besides that is how he really was in the movie, right? I thought that fact made him even more adorable! Kekeke. XD
So there you have it. When I get another free time, I will have them go to France again to get a new Vespa Kenspa because idiot me forgot to grab their old one from the old house. *facepalm*
