Two totally terrific tutorials. *tee-hee* Anyhoo, here we go. Jessica Alba Tutorial:
to
1. Take base and do whatever preperations you need. I sharpened the edges because it makes it more refined but not crappy and choppy like regular sharpen does. I always sometimes use the sharpen tool (in the same place as the blur and smudge tool) and set the stength to like 50%.
2. New selective color layer:
Reds: -16 +19 -30 -20
Yellows: +14 +40 +11 -41
Neutrals: +100 +11 +2 +8
3. New selective color layer:
Reds -100 +67+100 -14
Yellows +51 +50 -88 -41
Neutrals -14 -16 -14 +17
4. Go back to your base, duplicate and drap to top and set to hue, 50% There we have it, an icon that isn't so...blah. *This tutorial isn't going to work for some pictures, that's why i'm giving you variations*
Variations:
>>Don't include 2nd and 4th step
>>No 2nd step, 3rd step set to 75%, 4th step softlight 100%
>>No 2nd step, 4th step overlay 50%
Anne Hathaway tutorial:
to
1. Prepare base (i used sharpen tool: strength 50%)
2. Duplicate and set to screen 10%
3. New layer, fill with #d4cd16 saturation 20%
4. New selective color layer:
Reds: +27 +29 -11 +23
Yellows: -210 -10 +18
Neutrals: +32 +3 +18 -34
5.New Hue/Saturation layer: saturation +5
6.I took
this texture from
http://tokyo.disparue.org/ and set it to multiply 50%. I erased some grain from her skin so it looked a little cleaner.
>> set screen layer to full, step 6 to opacity 45
(i didn't have much time to make more variations...sorry!)
if i make a mistake, tell me please and...
comments are love!
