What Happens in Sydney...
It was past 1 in the morning now and the afterparty had been going on for several hours after the Kpop Music Festival in Sydney wrapped up. Most of the idols were either getting ready to leave or had already left, but the mood was still hearty with a group of youths still partying hard
The famous 91-Line of Kpop , taking advantage of their consent age, were drinking freely from the hotel’s beverages and thoroughly enjoying their brief but well-salvaged moment of rest before they were to fly back to Korea the following morning.
For this case, a hangover was to be insured for at least Dongwoon of B2ST, who was more or less drunk to the point of being unable to stand by the time he decided he had enough and wanted to go to bed, slurring and giggling like a schoolgirl as Mir of MBLAQ helped him stay steady on his feet. Jinwoon of 2AM was also reasonably intoxicated and giddy but kept a lucid face as he also headed back in, his arm draped around the shoulders of Key of Shinee, who was more tolerant to alcohol and didn’t drink that much anyway.
Meanwhile, the two female members Min of Miss A and Nicole of Kara walked behind them, hand in hand, chattering and giggling with each other. They all made their way back to their hotel rooms where Key sent Jinwoon off with his manager and Min gave Nicole a last hug before hopping off sleepily to bed.
The two members of the 91-Line who were the least intoxicated, but intoxicated nonetheless, turned to face each other.
Nicole giggled at her old friend, tucking at Key’s arm playfully and pulling him along with her towards the other end of the hotel where their respective rooms were. Once Key found his own feet, they walked beside each other down the corridor together. Nicole smiled dreamily up at the ceiling.
“I got a confession today in the waiting room,” she said, gazing over at Key. “From a male idol.”
Key cocked an eyebrow, amused.
“Really? Who was it?”
Nicole grinned and put her finger on her lips, shaking her head.
“Secret~” she said cheekily. Key scoffed.
“You won’t tell me at all?” he exclaimed with an incredulous chuckle. “Your best friend?” Nicole laughed.
“Because there’s only this many of us here and you know everybody already,” she insisted, slapping his arm playfully. She swayed a little, tugging Key along with her and using him to support herself. She laughed again, looking over at him. “Besides, I rejected him, so you don’t have to worry.”
Key smirked.
“Should I be happy about that?” he asked jokingly.
“You’re so arrogant,” Nicole laughed.
She let out a gasp and abruptly clutched onto his arm when she almost lost her footing. Key grabbed her wrist and pulled her weight on his stiffened arm, preventing her from free-falling and crashing into the stone wall beside them. Key laughed at this.
“You really won’t tell me?” he said, grunting a bit as he pulled her back up on her feet.
Nicole let out a breath of relief, giggling tipsily. She gazed up at him, their faces only inches apart, so close that Key could smell the alcohol. He chuckled with bemusement and fascination, not quite sure whether to believe that Nicole had drank that much to not be able to walk in a straight line. She smiled dreamily at him and patted his cheek.
“No one will ever know except me,” she said haughtily, dusting her bangs. “What happens in Sydney, stays in Sydney.”
“That’s Vegas, Nicole,” Key chuckled wryly. “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” But she remained unfazed, smiling and shaking her head.
“It’s for Sydney too,” she said matter-of-factly. Key cocked his head to the side and gave her a look.
“It’ll trail back to Korea,” he huffed. Nicole shook her head good-naturedly again.
“Nope,” she said confidently. “I can prove it.”
And just when Key was about to wait to see just exactly how she was going to demonstrate her point, Nicole threw her arms around his neck and pulled him down in an open-mouthed kiss.
Key’s eyes widened in shock and his hands flew up out of reflex, not knowing what to do. He let out a muffled groan, but she firmly pulled him closer and her weight was dragging him down heavily. He tentatively placed his hands around her waist, suddenly becoming dazed by the warmth of her lips that his eyes fluttered shut. He wasn’t sure where she learnt how to kiss but her mouth began to move intensely that his mind completely blanked out, not even realizing when she pulled him back slowly until she was pressed on the wall behind her.
Key could taste the alcohol still on her tongue and she was kissing him hard, her hands travelling up to his styled hair and gripping it. He felt her arch back and pulled him down onto her even more, clashing their teeth that he could hardly breathe. The only thing he could do was respond, the alcohol affecting the logical side of his brain that he couldn’t think, or perhaps he was also enjoying it.
Just when he was about to get used to it, Nicole pulled away with a luscious smack, releasing him. Key automatically drew away for a much-needed breath, his eyes dilated and completely disorientated from what just happened. He didn’t even take time to notice what Nicole’s reaction to this drunken violation of their friendship was.
“Why…wh…” Key’s mouth was numb from the kissing, much to his embarrassment. He stared at her, dumbfounded. “Why did you just kiss me?”
He continued to stare, a new shock filling him at how casual she looked, smiling with sleepy eyes. She grinned and pointed cutely at him.
“That’s to prove that what happens in Sydney, stays in Sydney,” she said, slurring a little. She beamed at him with another eye smile and all he could do was stare.
Nicole then cleared her throat and gave a cute wave, looking a little lost for a second as she glanced up and down the corridor at which side she was supposed to go before promptly pushing herself off the wall with shaky arms. She waddled back towards her room number in the far corner while Key continued to gaze after her, completely shell shocked.
It took him a few minutes to get his bearings straight and he finally recollected his thoughts. Key wiped the smeared lipgloss off his mouth with the back of his hand , most likely erasing evidence that he had just been making out with his best friend for no particular reason than to prove a point that it meant nothing.
Key smirked to himself and looked back over to Nicole’s door, which was now closed after she finally stumbled inside. He touched his lips fondly and chuckled again, throwing one last glance before turning to go to his own room.
“You want a bet?”
