Been home in Portland for one week, one day, and a few hours. But who's counting? Bekah and I are having an ON day after a week of OFF days, which is a relief but by no means security for future ON days.
Let's see, basics:
I miss Mount Holyoke and I miss Mount Holyoke women and I miss my roomate and I'm now (more than ever) addicted to the facebook wall.
Wild Oats job begins on the 20th (after Girls State). I'll be in the deli.
Operation: Boss Lady, definitely in action. If you have advice I'm taking any and all at this point. I tell myself I won't have "no" for an answer. This is probably a stupid decision, but if you were in my shoes you'd likely do the same thing.
Girls State beginning on Saturday. Looking forward to it, as I always am.
My family and I don't see eye-to-eye on anything anymore, especially when it relates to the fact that the loves of my life are women. "Oh, Sarah, there's that lesbian movie you wanted to see," Bekah says, tauntingly, as she points to My Summer of Love. It got terrible reviews, I really didn't want to see it, and Bekah thinks just because it relates to gays that I'm interested. I know that I have it easy when it comes to my family accepting whom I love, but I'm realizing that they're NOT as positive as I make them out to be. Bummer, I guess. At least Bekah and I watched Fried Green Tomatoes and she didn't say anything about the implied gayness of the characters (nor the hotness of Mary Stuart Masterson! Amanda I miss you!).
There's always more to say. I want to write poetry but I get stuck on the damn WRITING part. Haha. I was labeling the container that held last night's rice and I thought, "this would make such a simple, lovely poem." Gahhh.
I miss everyone and I love you all.
