Day 4
Well, today we made our way to California. San Francisco to be exact.
Our hotel is ... Well it's nothing at all what the name would imply. The Good is ... Well, to be honest, it's quite frankly bad. The neighbourhood as we learned during our two-hour bus tour is seedy and quite rough. And I'm quoting here! And the rooms are not as clean as one could expect them to be.
And San Francisco itself. Hm, we had a bad start with our neighbourhood and Pier 39 is, well the view is great and so are the sea lions, but the rest. I thought that New York was dirty and old but San Francisco? I just don't don't get it. How can someone let that happen to their city?
When we did our bus tour we saw definitely nicer parts. And thank goodness that we did that tour today or I would go to bed feeling depressed. My cousin took it especially hard. He hates the hotel, the city, everything. And if he had the possibility to leave right this minute he would. And I couldn't blame him.
But there are also good things. Some neighbourhoods are very nice and we had a beautiful view when we drove over the Golden Gate Bridge. Absolutely amazing.
We ended the day with dinner at Pier 39. Lets see what tomorrow brings!
