The Lana present here is AU, and left Smallville and Clark behind on her own, with no prompting or pushing from any outside sources. She ended their relationship mainly because she came to realize they just weren't meant to be, and decided she didn't want him to be hurt anymore, or have to worry about her. I have yet to decide where exactly in canon she comes from, but it most likely will be sometime in the latter half of season 7, or possibly during season 8. Things will be noted when figured out.
