This poem started off as an assignment for my Creative Writing class. I worked on it more after and this is what came out of it. 9 years is a long time to just have a simple crush. This poem is for a guy that I can never stop loving. My thoughts always return to him. I think if I could get one chance, he wont regret it.

That I hold dear
Because of this
I shed a tear.
I cannot hold you
Through the night
Feelings so strong
I try to fight
Tears of pain
Fill my eyes
Give me one chance
Before I die.
All I need
Is a hand to hold,
Someone to cuddle with
When times gets cold.
