This is a rather splendid, cracky, surreal and charming piece of memorabilia from the 70s... a Joker Colouring In Book!
Yes, an entire book filled with Jim Aparo style Jokers for you to colour in and have fun with! Hee! :D Hard to stay inside the lines...
You even get a cut-out mask on the back cover so you too can play the Joker!
Looking at that, I think what bamboozles me most is the knowledge that somewhere out there is a Lex Luthor colouring-in book... wth a Lex Luthor cut-out mask on the back...
It all makes a sort of twisted sense though. I mean, what better subject matter for a light-hearted activity book aimed at children aged 3-10 than the story of the Joker?
Naturally, it is filled with the sort of surreal bizareness so characteristic of the 70s... for which we are grateful...
... yeah.
But I think, truly, my favourite page for sheer 'bzuh!' factor has to be this one...
zhinxy, this one is for you, I know how much you love your milkshake slurping comic character lovebirds...
Naturally, the 'story' ends on a wholly wholesome note, in keeping with the well-balanced, charming and playfulness of the rest of the book:
Ah, Batverse. Could any other 'verse be so nonchalantly twisted even in the throes of utter cutesiness?
