why did you mess with forever?
so it's 2003, officially. the year that has been talked about all my life. this is a huge year for me. this year, i will:
* -- turn eighteen. i will be able to buy porn, cigarettes, and lottery tickets (though i will probably only indulge in the last one).
* -- go on my last family vacation as a high-schooler. florida is going to be so fun this year; i can't wait! it'll be my last trip to disneyworld as a non-college-student. my last chance to really be a kid. :)
* -- attend my senior prom. the LAST dance of my last year of high school. it's not all that big of a deal, but i mean, i've been going to dances since sixth grade, they've always been a social staple, you know? it's a rite of passage.
* -- graduate high school. wow, this is huge. i've been in school for almost thirteen years, not counting pre-school. and now i'm leaving. as much as we all grumble about it, school is an intricate part of our lives, and it'll just be weird not to be in school anymore.
* -- leave for college. okay, so i'll still be in school but it's definitely not the same thing. college is a whole new world, and i'm both excited and scared. more excited than scared, i think.
that's a lot of big events, a lot of changes. i hope i'm up for the challenge. :)
