Whether I am an atheist, agnostic, deist, secular humanist...one thing I am not is "faithful".
Faith, as we all know, is belief without evidence. I am faithless. And let's make NO bones about it...people who opt out of faith in favor of reason are VERY VERY VERY distrusted and even hated in American society at large. Though the faithless rarely, if ever, feel the need to tell people how to live their lives or go poking around in other people's backyards. But perhaps they should just a little bit. Refer to THIS ENTRY for my take on non-believer honesty.
However, I like the above video because it doesn't seek to convert the believer but to DEFEND the non-believer.
I also fully realize that any people of faith that have ME on their friends list are of a different variety than those that demonize atheists and agnostics. I'm fairly certain you all possess a truly "live and let live" attitude towards belief-systems.
I'm probably preaching to the choir, but it's not like I wanna post this on my Facebook for all my contacts to see, half of whom are "friends" that I barely remember from high school (98% are, or claim to be, people of faith - and not really the open-minded variety). And a few of whom I have come to realize are intolerant, gay-hating, science-fearing fundamentalist Christians (yes I will be weeding them out and removing them from my friends list).
