Obviously I didn’t go into this movie expecting something amazing or award winning. My brother was having over several teens his age to watch a football game and my sister and I needed something to do out of the house.
I was surprised though. We were both fairly entertained and while we didn’t guess from the get-go who the killer was, thanks to a few red herrings, we got it and yes, their logic is crazy and stupid but it could be worse. Rumer Willis does pretty good as the “nerdy” sorority sister Ellie (we know she’s nerdy because she wears glasses, see. Hollywood hasn’t gotten a clue in the last few years. Meanwhile I actually kinda wanted her huge nerd glasses) and there are a few other sisters you give a crap about. Unfortunately the only name I remember is Cassidy, the other “good” girl sister. There’s one who’s such a bitch I don’t know why they put up with it. I think she might have been sorority president so that’s probably why.
Audrina Patridge of The Hills is in about 5 minutes before she’s killed in a sorority prank gone wrong which is what starts the whole plot. They convince her boyfriend he’s roofied her and killed her and they’re going to hide her body and while the girls are getting their giggles he panics and actually stabs her with a tire iron. So they hide her body and 8 months later start getting text messages relating to the murder and then some of them start getting killed.
You’ll enjoy it if you don’t expect something awesome. Just good, cheese entertainment.
