Room 409: Sunday Evening

Jan 15, 2006 22:02

Blair sat on the floor of his dorm room and pulled his laptop into his lap. Today he had woken up feeling better and decided to wander into town and had found himself a job. The movie theatre in town needed help and the owner hired me right on the spot. He was an usher now, and clean-up guy. It didn't seem like that hard of a job, although he did have to tell this nice girl to not talk on her cell phone.

As he pulled up his email, he debated on what to tell his mother. He had done his part to protest the gremlin massacre on Friday, but it hadn't worked. He had meditated for a long time yesterday and come to terms with the fact that he had done what he could. The bad karma that came from all the deaths rested on those who ordered and did the killing. He had ventured out last night into the common room and gotten a chance to hang out with Xander and Bridge, and meet Callisto. Angel's girlfriend seemed to drool over adore Angel just as much as he did her. It was really nice to see.

All in all, there was a lot to write to Naomi and he clicked on the button to download mail. Then he clicked again. And again. The "No New Mail" button flashed brightly at him and Blair stared. No new email? He had written to her on Wednesday. Which was more than long enough for her to get the email and at least send something back.

Blair shut down the computer and laid on the floor, his hair smelled like popcorn and his shoes felt sticky. It was very hard to meditate with the smell of popcorn wafting around him. He stared at the celing and wondered if Angel would mind him coming down for puppy-hugs sometime soon. Hugs sounded good right about now.
