Hanging out on a spaceship with your best friend and your girlfriend was exhausting. Or maybe it was just exhausting following aliens around and trying to interview them for research purposes.

Either way, Blair was sleeping soundly.

River wasn't sleeping soundly. Ever since her meeting with the PsiCop, her mind had been full of images that flickered, out of her reach. Then in her dreams the images had appeared clearer, brighter - painfully bright.

She couldn't remember now she was awake. Only the feeling of terror and despair remained.

Quietly she slipped into Blair's room and climbed into his bed. His dreams were comforting and she wrapped her arms around him and closed her eyes, feeling safe.

Blair had a habit of hugging people in his sleep and River was no exception; so he was quite content to just snuggle and doze for a while.

Until his brain caught up with his arms and he realized that he really should be alone in bed. He opened one eye and made out the shape of River's face in the dark.

"Is it morning already?"

"No," River mumbled, wrapping one leg around him. "Bad dreams."

"Sorry." Blair frowned and hugged River closer, patting her hair quietly. "Do you want to talk about them?"
