Operation: Spongebath, Day 33.

Primer is done, dude. Didn't take me quite as long today, but god the old bones hurt. My Kirkpatrickian knees are singing the Ave Maria, and another 1500 of my 2000 parts are humming along in harmony. I'll certainly be popping some ibu before bed.

But yes. Primer is done :) No color on the walls, though because I just ran out of steam :( I'm thinking I'll start that tomorrow after work. tourwench212, you may be pressed into service on Friday, because I'm away again this week, and that'll be the next opportunity I have to work on it. Oy. S'okay, though. The Hardy Boys are away this week, so I won't be holding them up any. I was hoping to have it all done this weekend, though. Sigh. I guess that was a little overambitious. I did, however, solve the reaching problems! The closet problem was easy--a 4-foot stepstool was added to my collection, and I could reach everything no problem. The corner of the tub, however? STILL couldn't reach. I went through the whole house, looking for something to stand on that could fit on the 1-foot tile shelf at the end of the tub (overturned cooler? milk crate? small wooden stool? chair from my childhood tea party table?)...but to no avail. I just wasn't comfortable teetering on any of them. Then inspiration struck! I have several pairs of platform shoes, which add up to 3" of height!! That did the trick :) I still had to stretch a bit, but I could juuuust reach. I'm sure it was a funny picture, though--I was wearing old plaid flannel shorts and a T-shirt from Old Company, both spattered with every color paint that's currently on the walls of this house...and 3-inch brown Steve Madden slides :) Oh, if only the felines could operate the camera!

Speaking of camera, current pho-toes...

Tub, new floor, and white-white walls:

A better shot of the new floor and the white-white that currently surrounds me (yes, that's the stepstool collection, which numbers 3...plus one 6-foot stepladder, not pictured. I'm short!!):

The vanity area, with the new faucets...medicine chests not hung yet, pending completion of the paint job:

A closeup of the faucets. Aren't they PRETTY??? I want to marry them and have their little brass babies :)

And a bonus. Loveycat, because she's just so beautiful :) And SMRT, too! Check out her reading material!

Gnah. Tiiiiired. Have to go to the office tomorrow. Would like to walk in the morning, but that means getting my lazy ass out of bed between 6:30 and 7, so I'd better get myself in bed. Nighty-night.
