Teddy Riley has officially signed on to play a music director in Paramount’s new film “Hype Nation.” The veteran producer known for his part in creating New Jack Swing and his role in the groups Guy and Blackstreet joins B2K and rumored comedian Whoopi Goldberg for the dance flick according to Variety. Variety reported that South Korean dance crew Gamblerz will star in Paramount’s dance movie “Hype Nation”. The Gamblerz crew was recently featured in Benson Lee’s “Planet B-boy”. The film will follow dance battles between the American R&B group B2K and Korean group the Gamblerz.
The $25 million film, which begins production in July will follow dance battles between R&B group B2K and South Korean dance crew The Gambler. The picture will be produced by Young Film’s Young Lee. The Korean-American producer, who previously partnered with American hip-hop artists, is now casting for a Korean female lead. In June, members of the Gamblerz crew will design dance movements with B2K for movie scenes. Production begins in the United States in July and in Korea in August. About 60% of the movie will be shot in Korea. The film is expected to be release worldwide in early 2009."

...Now I'm not saying this is made of fail, but more then likely it is PROBABLY made of of fail. *sigh* What disturbs me more is the idea of Korean bboys acting. Now...I love you guys, but...most of you kids can only slightly toprock with personality let alone act. What's worse is that I have two options when this comes out 1.) drag my friend Stephanie (or one of my other ones supporting my obsession with bboys) to this and sit through a hour and a half of B2-frickin-K acting and "dancing" or 2.) downloading a torrent and watching it in the shame of my own bedroom while I fangirl squeal over the handsomeness of Pop and Sick.

Let's get to the synposis:

"Set against the bright neon lit streets of Seoul South Korea, the Mach 1 B-Boy battle of the year. Ryan and Kevin (b2k) and their crew from Los Angeles are hired by the U.S. Interpool to be matched up against the notorious Gambler Crew from South Korea, known to the b-boy world as the best of the best. Their mission is to gather information about Tony Kai (Cary Tagawa) an "ex yakuza" member who controls the Asian underworld in the United States. Tony Kai is in South Korea planning a worldwide monopoly on drugs, sex, and gamling. Ryan and Kevin struggle as they go deeper into the Asian underworld. Ryan falls for a beautiful Korean girl named Esther who happens to be the sister of "Kicker" the leader of the mafia ran Gamblers crew. Their love is put to the test as the rivarly between the two crews escalate. As reality sets in, the crew from LA is no match against the world champion Gamblers crew in the Mach 1 competition. Ryan, Kevin and the crew go into hiding where they meet underground b-boy legend "Chubbs", and together they prepare for an against all odds battle against Tony Kai, Kicker and the Gambler crew. "

...I think I just threw up a little in my mouth...

How am I supposed to defend this you fools!?

They should also credit Sick's new boyband Super Junior haircut as one of the stars.

Time to go out and drink...
