We built to many walls. Yeah we built too many walls! We gotta run,a giant piston is out to crush us

I wake up at 6 Am every  Mon, Wed, and Fri because my long ass commute back into the city is horrible. Though honestly I still love NYC with all my heart. I love sitting outside in Soho and drinking tea before work.  More to the point the only reason I seem to be here (home in PA) now is because I have the distinct feeling this will be my last summer here, which in turn will drive my mom crazy with boredom. My apartment is waiting for me back in the financial district though, broken cloest door and splattered liquid foundation and all. How I love it there.

My work...is kickass though. I spend my days scanning articles (I had to read 50 reviews on the Arcade Fire the other day and organize them. I made me want to kill the lyrics in Anti-Christ Television), answering phones (Ryan Adams calling yesterday was the highlight of my extremely slow day), and organizing this beast of a filing cabinet that hasn't been sorted through since the 90's. I shit you not. I found clippings of Dave Grohl with the original line up of the Foo Fighters including Germs guitarist Franz. Everyone who works there is just great too, it's just chill and casual. Plus my boss plays music from his office next to my desk (last Friday I got to sit through the Pretenders the entire time). Emmm I wish I could make this my career, but alas it will not be probably.

In other news I finally found lovely Rufus tickets (I got shut out of all FOUR shows at Gramercy) and we currently have box seats to his performace at the Mann Theater. Not exactly the same as the last time I saw him. But hell you can't beat sitting on a stage five feet away from him at the UCB. All I remember is that he kinda sparkeled, I shit you not. He was very bright and shiny up close and with very bouncy hair. Then a midget attacked the man next to me in a harem costume (also not a lie). Emmm week nights in the city.
