Alex POV:
We were home, it had been two months since I was last here. And hell... I missed the place. The taxi dropped us off outside and Rian and I walked up the path dragging out suitcases behind us. I slipped the key into the lock and twisted it until I heard the click of the mechanisms working.
‘Ah home sweet home’ Rian muttered as he made his way through the house heading straight for the fridge.
‘Seriously dude. We get home and the first thing you do it attack the fridge, which may i mention is empty.’ I said to him as he whined at the lack food.
‘Well then we will have to go shopping, i refuse to be in this house another second where there is a lack of food!’ He stomped and crossed his arms like a whiny child.
Even though the thought of going shopping with rian to restock the fridge sounded good but i really need to go and pick up my babies. Baz and Pey, i have missed them so much. They were my children.
‘Rian, im gonna go pick up the kids.’ I laughed, it was funny how we both referred to the two dogs as our kids. Two dogs were enough to look after there was no way i was ever going to have kids. No way.

Well I guess this is growing up' I sang at the top of my voice as I turned the corner onto the road where my parents lived.
I turned off the engine and sat staring at the house. I had so many happy memories here, I never really did want to leave the comfort of my parents house and live in the big wide world on my own. Thats why Rian and myself brought a house together, pretty simple if you ask me.
I walked up the path leading to the front door looking over to the large oak tree that was situated in the middle of the back garden. The old, worn and a little rusty rope swing that jack and myself had built was still somehow hanging from one of the branches.
I was suprised, Jack and I had played on that swing for hours and fallen off countless times. Surley it was bound to fall sometime soon.
Smiling at those memories brought jack to the front of my mind. Leaving him was tough, No amount of soft kisses to my face could stop me feeling the sadness that I had ever since we had said goodbye.
I sighed and continued walking upto the door knocking three times. Hearing barking behind the wooded door brought a smile to my face and made my heart leap.
The door opened to see my mother holding Baz under her left arm and Pey trying to squash through her legs.
'Are my babies happy to see me?' I questioned as i crouched down. Pey jumped into my lap, licking my face.
'Darling, come inside. I want to hear all about this tour. Did the shows go well? Have you been showering? Where's your washing?' My mother beamed at me, she allways was excited to hear about the tour went as I never rang her whilst traveling.
'Yeah yeah, whatever mum. I just missed my babies.' I kissed both Baz and Pey's noses as I saw her roll her eyes and put the kettle on.

'Im glad you had fun darling' My mother said as she collected the empty tea cups from the table and headed towards the kitchen.
I sighed, it really was fun. I love being on tour so much and now that jack and I had confessed our feelings for each other it really did make for one of the better tours. Thinking of Jack, my phone buzzed telling me that I had a text.

Hey Babe,
I can't bear being away from you! I miss you so much it hurts. I'm going to come over in the next few days before I go back to Lebanon for a week! See you soon!

A smile stretched onto my face as I read the text, I really did miss him too. But knowing that I'd see him soon made me smile even more.
'Who's got you smiling like that Alexander?' I heard my mother ask from behind obviously trying to read the text.
'No one' I rushed, locking my phone as a smile spread onto her face.
'Oh it's a girl isn't it? Is she your girlfriend? Who is she Alex, you can tell me I'm your mother!' She beamed obviously excited for me.
I sighed, she couldn't be more wrong. I wish I could just tell her. 'it's Jack mum, you know Jack Barakat. My best friend/ Band mate. A guy and also my Boyfriend' Maybe not... Jack and I decieded not to tell our parents just yet,leave it a couple of months.
'Alex, hello are you there?' My mother waved a hand in front of my face attempting to get my attention and bring me out of my thoughts.
'Oh yeah, sorry I was just thinking about...'
'That mysterious person that makes my little boy smile like I've never seen before? Huh?'
'I was actually' I blushed 'You know I think I love them' I blurted out. Oops love vomit.
'I can tell, I've never seen you do happy when you received that text or when you went into that daydream' She smiled at me. 'Do you think this ones a keeper?'
'I hope so, I really do'

'Thanks for everything mum. I've gotta get back, Rian cooked tea.' I kissed her cheek and turned towards the door twisting the handle.
'Oh Alex, John and Maria the neighbours ate having a barbecue in the garden in a few weeks. They invited you and it would be lovely for you to come, The last time they saw you was when you were 12. You've changed a lot since then' She smiled with a glint of pride in her eyes.
'Yeah, okay. That sounds urm...Nice' I internally groaned and rolled my eyes 'Bye mum. Come on Baz, Pey into the car.' I talked to the dogs. No, I'm not crazy. Everybody talks to their dogs right?
I turned, walked down the path, got into my car and drove home so I could reply to jacks text.
