Vampire Knight manga coloring
Back to my anime/manga roots :D
Two full color pages from volume 4 of Vampire Knight.
These pictures are FULL OF SPOILERS. Don't say I didn't warn you!
Includes line art, the colored page, then the final product with shading and all that jazz (and a moderately lengthy notes from the artist section.)
I'm not completely satisfied with this page, so I will probably end up going back to it (that is, if I'm not sick of looking at Shizuka.)
Isn't this a sexy image? I'm pretty happy with the final product although I got lazy with the background. I'll probably end up adding some color/shadows to the walls and window once the semester ends.
COLORIST'S NOTES -
Please tell me if the images aren't working. I have different permission levels in my Scrapbook and I wouldn't be surprised if a few of them didn't show up

COLORIST'S NOTES -
- I am currently without my tablet so depending on my level of laziness, I may or may not go back to re-touch these pictures. As of now, I feel like the hair is really flat and I typically give the hair a lot more shine/highlights/etc a la the nurse from After School Nightmare.
- THAT HAND WAS A BITCH TO DO. But I think it come out alright in the end. I mean, I think looks quite slimy and I was going for something to that effect...
- I'm also looking for some tips regarding the first image. I have no idea what to do with Shizuka's shoulder in the biggest panel. I sort of faded to pink/red in the bottom panel but nothing seems to work with that panel.
- I had so much trouble with Shizuka's hair and clothing I'm usually not good with picking colors when there's no reference so I was conflicted. In an old icon, I originally had Shizuka with purple hair (I said old icon, alright?!) but I didn't think it transferred over to a bigger image too well. Have a look and ignore that time at the bottom:
