For the record...

This is my personal ad....
ugh.

Hitting the "Reset Button"...

Ok.
I have been on here before, yet, have found it somewhat...trying, at best.
I have dated a few times, especially in the last month, from two people I met, one from CL, and one from Match.com.
Yet, both, I had to end things with because it just wasn't..."of the heart".

So, about me.
34, 6'3", 230, brown hair, brown eyes, just finished the LA Marathon last year (first time, and my time was HORRIBLE, but no excuses), PhD in Philosophy (metaphysics, to be succinct), somewhat well traveled, humorous, yet serious. understanding, yet assertive. confident, fun, adventurous, never married, no kids, intelligent, witty, smoker, sometimes drinker, sometimes writer (been published, but that was a long time ago), homeowner, yet family oriented (oddly enough, I admire Jack Kerouac). I tend to be highly organized, but only as it pertains to the things I need to do to. This means, I don't get all weird about a relationship, because I have enough on my plate. I love camping, working out, science, computers, sci-fi, philosophy, and my job. I can send a pic, but not until i see yours, because last time i did, one of my college level students saw me and called me out on it in class. Enough to say that i was red-faced, but dealt with it. Don't want to deal with that again, tho. My history includes being engaged twice, dating three models (one fetish, the other two from prints), and three BBW's who were just utterly cool. Also, an older PhD who really was neat, but it didn't work, and a younger lawyer who had a lot going on. Moreso, six white women, two Irish, one British, three Asian, two African American, and three Latinas. Thusly, I don't have a type. (keep in mind, i am 35)

The catch?
Most women can't handle me in terms of my interests and projects and life. From my dating experience, they want the hotness that is focused on them, or they want me, but not what I do (very focused on my family). It's a package deal. Trust me, I have no problem dating, but I want someone who can understand my busy life and be cool with it.

What I want?
Someone who is just neat. Who can work out with me, and go to dinner, and then a walk or coffee.
And, on the weekends, we go to a coffeehouse of unknown origins (with free wireless internet) and be all geeky side by side.
I always make passes to women in glasses.
