I got rid of my LJ about a year ago and had no desire to come back...until I became obsessed with Castle and needed fanfiction like a druggie. I've never commented on one, but I've been following this one and seriously? I adore you.

For a fleeting second, she was that girl again. The one who would stand in line at the bookstore with the latest Storm novel in hand. She would read the back flap, trying to make a guess as to how things would unravel throughout the book. Then she would take a glance at the inside of the dust cover which was always adorned with that smug mug she had come to get… annoyed by in the past few weeks. She had always wondered who the man was who kept her awake even after long hours at work. Now she knew. Part of her still wished it wasn’t so, and yet she was here.That is what I love about this show. You have all of us fangirls and then you have a character who is one, a character who we totally relate to because of that. This paragraph describes it PERFECTLY ( ... )

Oh, don't. There isn't all that much to adore. I just do what I do ;) But thank you very much. Glad I could lure you back to LJ at least to read some fics. That really means a lot :D

Yeah, that's one of the things I love about Kate. That she actually knew him before they met and that she's a fan. Gives a nice new angle to the tough-girl cop thing. Prevents her from slipping into the stereotype.
