How to Disappear Completely
Hi, I'm alive. I'm tired and my right eye hurts (fucking contacts, I think it's all their fault) and Uni is pissing me off. Other than this, I'm fine. Really. Hope you're all good!
Anyway, new VM ep like...tomorrow? I'm so excited! Even if I hate the opening scene :/ But hey,

So, I made a Beave mix. I know that we saw like 5 scenes with him so far but I have thought about his character a lot during this past week and this is how I see him, how I see his personality. I don't say I'm madly in love with the character but I do find him kind of great and I'm really glad that they decided to develop his character a bit.
Also, about the songs. Don't ask me where I found them and why I chose those particular songs because I'm not entirely sure...and yes, I know that not every part of those lyrics fit Beaver but I actually see a lot of angst here, a lot of potential and unspoken feelings. We all know that he's so much more than "that geek guy who is always around".
Anyway, the mix:

Beave chooses not to say what he really thinks and how he really feels, he clings to people who don't really think of him as someone important...just to feel (and make himself believe) that he has someone who cares.

I think that Cassidy is lost in everything that surrounds him, he doesn't have a single person who gets him and who accepts him just the way he really is. His father ignores him, his brother doesn't really care if he is around. It's normal that sometimes he asks himself if its his fault, he's scared that it is and he doesn't know what to do.

Like I said, he's lost in everything around, he doesn't understand why people around him act the way they do, but he doesn't want to be alone. He tries. He tries to fit in or does he try to stay the same?

It's SUCH a good song. "Sometimes it feels like you don’t have a body / Your skin is cellophane" - we all feel invincible sometimes, I bet that Beave feels invincible more often that everyone else.

Yeah, having such a great daddy is something amazing [/sarcasm] I hate how his father ignores him just because Beaver is not a mini version of him. Becayse he's different.

That's how I see his 'relationship' with Dick, Logan and other 09ers. He wants to feel like he has friends, someone close so he tries to fit in by doing things they expect him to do (like the gasoline scene from 2x01 or the party scene with V and the guys). It's not a good thing but I think I understand why he does it.
8. Sia - I'm not important to you

Another Casablancas family song. I only hope that Beave will finally find a true friend. Why oh why can't it be Wallace? Or Veronica?
