Before I introduce our new challenge, I'd like to introduce our new Loveathons mods! We had many wonderful members answer our call for more help with the community and are happy to welcome chaotic4life and thislittlelady from their number. Also, long time mod (and awesome graphicteer) rachel_shanz has changed her name to txtequilanights. So... that's a chage that's not so much a change. Together, our new team of five look forward to bringing you many lovely months of uninterrupted Logan/Veronica smut!

And now, the challenge!

The Idea:

Life's all about taking chances, and nowhere so much as in the bedroom. Trusting another person with your body, with yourself, with... your money?

That's right! This month's loveathons challenge is all about games of chance and how they mirror the relationship of Logan and Veronica. Tell us what could have happened at the Echolls Family Christmas party. Or what went down that night at Mercer's campus Casino. Or the time Veronica was a stripper in Vegas and her card shark hubbie, Logan lost her on a 'sure thing'... wait... maybe leave that one out of it!

It's time to take a chance on LOVE!

Rules:

1. This a LoVe ficathon. That means Logan/Veronica ship only. Other pairings are allowed, but the smut and fic need to revolve around the Logan/Veronica relationship. Meaning Logan could be with Kendall, but be pining away for Veronica. The same with Veronica (If you want to put her with Kendall that is :P).
2. The main theme of the story has to be gambling related. Some kind of game of chance must be featured and either Veronica or Logan (but, hey, preferable BOTH) must be involved in said game. We aren't saying the smut has to happen during the game of chance. They don't have to fuck on the poker table. Or the pool table. I mean, they can totally fuck under the tables too! Or even in another room, I guess. As long as there is someone doubling down and someone going down, you're good! And this challenge is for ratings of R or stronger, no PG-13 or fluffy-handholding-sweetness.
3. When x-posting, we would appreciate it if you could mention loveathons in your author's notes somewhere when you post a fic from our challenge someplace else. So if you submit something, we better see a loveathons mention in there. Be nice, you guys. We all want more entries so that we can read them, but we all need to continue to be spread the word for that to happen.
4. We are now requiring participating members to put a button in your journal (see button below) for reasons stated in rule 4. It’s a requirement not because we’re planning on stalking you down and kicking you out of the community. We say it’s a requirement because we really hope you’ll spread the word around and help promote community. We also have a pimpage banner specifically for this challenge, should you like to advertize.

Guidelines:

1. Fics are due December 18th, 10pm PT to be considered for voting.
   
2. Fics must be at least 800 words. (We encourage you to write looong fics though.)
   
3. Please write the title of your fic and then your username as the subject of your entry. Like so:

4. Above the lj-cut, put the following information:
   1. Title
   2. Author
   3. Rating
   4. Word Count
   5. Summary

Other:
We want everyone to do something to contribute to this three week festival of fun. While our main focus is fic (because hey, who doesn’t love fic?) we would love to see some challenge icons, wallpapers, wallscrolls, fanvids, and anything else you can think of that fits our theme of Logan and Veronica Courthouse Smut.

Holiday Graphics Challenge:
In addition to gambling themed graphics we are opening an additional graphic challenge this round. We are entering the holiday season and Logan and Veronica can't wait to spread the seasonal cheer. This challenge is for any graphics (icons, wallpapers, wallscrolls, or headers) based on a L/V Holiday theme. We ask that any submissions be newly made for this loveathons challenge.

1. Must be posted by December 18th, 10pm PT to be considered for voting.
2. Please put whatever graphic you are posting (I.E. 'Icons') and then your user name in the subject.

Have fun and write us some good fic!
