My first official Nurses Day!!
HAPPY NURSES WEEK <3 !!
So, for those who know and those who don't and the confused in-between people, today is Nurses Day and this week is dedicated to nurses as well, hell some places have nurses month.
Anyhoo, I'm pretty excited because I'm so happy that I actually like what I'm doing and things are looking up from a dismal somewhat shove-off start in February. And I just wanted to say how proud I am of myself. I did it, I really did.
Also, I got a patient transfer from a regular floor and when I was getting report, the girl sounded familiar. And by piecing it together, I figured out that we started in the same orientation group as brand new grads together, we know each other but just couldn't put the name to the face at that moment. On the phone she sounded frazzled, so freaked out about everything. She couldn't even answer my questions or didn't even remember. I felt bad because I could hear that she was stressed and I just told her it was ok, just get the patient down here. And when I think about it now, I realize the huge difference between my experience and hers. And when the pt came, I was just so cool about it, nonchalant like "I got this" attitude going on and I'm like, where the hell did this confidence come from!?!?!? Anyways, it's just like, I figured how much I grew, how much confidence I gained and that I'm awesome!! Finally, freaking took long enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
