Today was uberfun!

Nov 13, 2005 23:30

I noticed that my fever was getting way worse as I was about to go to sleep yesterday.. I could feel my entire body heating up.

So when I had to get up at 9 AM today for church, I was .. less than pleased. I went with Mary and Hector.. and we stopped along a gas station, and Mary bought me a strawberry soda and chocolate cupcakes! :D I was in pain from the fever, so even a small gesture like this made me happier. :)

We got to the church, and I laid down on this stuffed lion. Mary said that I could stay in the room if I didn't wanna go to the actual service.. so I slept for a good 2 hours or so (on Mr. Lion).

I ate some lunch with them (really good food, BTW), and Hector, Mary, and I headed off to Bellaire so that I could go to the "Asian market" and buy some CDs.

Erm. It was bothering me that although I was the sick one, when Mary put her head down, her boyfriend would pet her. >.<;; Okay, it's not like I expect her boyfriend to pet me or anything.. but I did want someone to. I've been pretty good about not being guy-needy lately, but at times like these.... *sigh* :|

We stopped by a Barnes and Noble, and I finally bought myself megatokyo volume 1. *squeals* I loooooooooooooove MT to death!! XD (Okay, I still need an MT shirt, but whatever.) This made me "irrationally happy", and on the way to Bellaire, I couldn't stop reading it. <3 (BTW, my dear roomie was kind enough to lend me her Barnes and Noble number so that I could buy it for slightly under $10. :D)

After some wrong turns and lots of driving, we finally got to a CD store.. where I bought an Ayumi Hamasaki CD and an X Japan CD for 6 dollars each!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh! ♥ ♥ ♥ You know you're jealous. XD (And I also bought a pack of Slayers cards for 7 bucks. Haha, the cards cost more than the freaking CDs.)

So yay. That made me really, really happy, and by the time we got out of the CD store, I'd forgotten all about my flu. XD Amazing what Japanese music can do to you. <3

Quite unfortunately, we'd taken too long, and Hector was lost, so by the time we finally found the bus, it was gone. -_-;; .. so Hector drove us allllll the way back to Austin. o_O Poor boy. Thank god he's a nice one! <3

Arg. The only frustrating part of my day was wanting to go to the Chappelle Show at the Frank Erwin Center.. buuut.. I figured that I didn't have enough time. (but if I'd hurried a little, I could've made it) arg.. regrets >.<

Instead, I went downstairs and watched some Wizard of Oz with the people there.

I got hungry, so I cooked my own noodles for the first time! :D (none of that Ramen crap) I watched Family Guy with the lobby people and eventually went back up to my room.

Haha, I'm a genius. Instead of freezing my ass off like I do every day, I decided to get some paper and tape the air vent closed. (Well, I've tried it before, but it didn't work.. this time, tho, there's a small hole to let out the pressure.. hopefully this works out better.)

Hmm.. I spent some time answering Facebook messages (4 of them!), and then I had a uber awesome, fun conversation with someone that I definitely love. :D Sometimes I wonder how he's capable of making me so happy. <3 (Well actually, I talked to 3 of my favorite people, but this one conversation was particularly heartwarming.)

It's exciting, thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas and how and when I'm going to visit certain people in MA/CA. The bummer part is that.. I rather lack the cash to make any of this possible at the moment. :( *sigh*

randomness of the day: (taken from Louisa) Your Seduction Style: Prized Object

The seduction game you play is tried, true, and still effective: hard to get.
You know that the best seducers turn the tables - and get their crush to seduce them.
The one running has the power, and you're a challenge that is worth the chase.

You are a master of enticing and pulling back. Giving a little and taking some away.
You are controlled enough to know rewards come after a long seduction dance.
Even though you want to call, email, or say "I love you" first - you don't!

You're style is the perfect mix of hot and cold - so much so that you have many suitors.
Think Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's ... or any of those creepy guys from the Bachelor.
You're skilled at inspiring a chase. The real test is picking the person to slow down for.
What Kind of Seducer Are You?
Really? o.O;

extremely happy, scitech, coakley, movies, ut, megatokyo, going out, music, eww, events, math camp, aim, facebook, pictures
