yaaaaaaatta! braces off!
today:
1.) went to go get my braces off.. I saw Ralph over there, so I had a lovely little chat with him about SciTech, UT, math camp.. apparently Mr. Weigle is the new CIM teacher.. woah!
2.) had to wait an hour for them to make my retainers (god, I feel like some 90-year old nanny with this talk about "retainers"..) sooooo, I got my dad to drop me off at the mall.. several things happened:
Okay, my original plan was to go straight to the Waldenbooks (yeah, Harlingen lacks a B&N.. /sigh).. and go to the manga section and read. Well, I decide that I need to go to the bathroom, so I walk around, looking for one.. as I'm walking around, I walk into Melrose and notice a jeans sale *mental note to come back later*..
Meh, *keeps on walking* .. finds Hot Topic with a freaking Full Metal Alchemist shirt.. *hyperventilates* Yeah, for all you big-city people, this is a normal occurrence, but I live in the middle of nowhere, and finding any anime merchandise is just soooo amazing!
..but as I look down, I realize that I don't have any money. /sigh
I go and look for a small, thinking, "There's no way they have a small."
Psht. I find a small.
So now I feel even worse.
And then I find a Fruits Basket shirt.
Still penniless. :(
Now I'm about to cry.
Anyway, so I pick those two up and shove them to the very bottom of the stack, hoping that they'll still be there the next time I go. ;_; Parting is such sweet sorrow.
Okay, I walk around some more, and by this time, I'm really POed 'cause it so hard to find a damn bathroom in this mall.. meh, meh.. finally found one.. and as I'm walking in, I hear the mall play Coldplay - Speed of Sound, and that's when I realize, "Hm.. Coldplay is pretty damn awesome."
So I finally go to Waldenbooks like I'd planned, and I find all these pretty anime posters. (Galaxy Angel)
Still penniless. Shit, today was so not the day to not be carrying money.
After much debate, I finally pick Angel Sanctuary to read, and I find a good spot away from the manga to read it. (Yeah, my parents don't exactly approve of me reading manga/watching anime. I have to hide my stash as well as I can.) But then 5 minutes later, my dad comes to pick me up. Boo.
3.) My dad and I go to Cici's Pizza, and there's this little kid, bouncing up and down in his seat, and I immediately think of Wesley. (in Analysis) What's the difference between Wesley and this little kid? This kid is little.
4.) Now I think I'm ready for a nap, since I was woken up at the ungodly early time of 12-noon for my orthodontist appointment.
