Originally uploaded by wearmystuff. I was so, so excited to get my website up and running. It took what seemed like forever to actually get it all online, and I guess I thought maybe business would be steady, like with the last site.
But alas, things so far with this site are very slow. I've only had one sale, and very little reponse at all.
I have a sneaking suspiscion that some of this may be caused by the raise in prices I made. For the longest time I charged the absolute bare minimum for everything, and everyone around me kept telling me it was too little and I was undervalueing myself. So I decided to listen to the prices they suggested, look around and see what other similar products were selling for and price mine just under those prices.
But I think perhaps people now expect my prices to be quite low, so they don't see why they should pay more for my stuff. Does that even make sense?
So I put my prices down a little bit. I lowered the prices of exsisting stuff, and of the new things I loaded on today. Finger crossed that might work.
On another Toast-related note: I'm doing my first real market this weekend. I've been running round like a headless chicken organising swingtags, and badge packaging (as seen in picture..). I was also having my ribbon labels done for inside the clothes, but alas the people who were doing them failed to have them finished, and of course it's a public holiday tommorrow and the market is on Sunday. SIGH. One day my clothing will have labels.
But it should be a good day, I'm sharing a stall with Melissa, who makes adorable childrens booties and clothing and Amelia who makes jewellery. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures!
