I'm having a sewing-block. You know how writers get writer's block? I'm having the seamstress's version on that. And it's very, very frustrating.
Everytime I sit down to sew I lose all inspiration and all motivation. I've got page full of ideas, but lack the energy/ zest to bring them to fruition.
I'm so lacking in sewing enthusiasm at the moment I've started knitting! Imagine that, me who cannot even knit a scarf, has picked up the knitting needles.
So far I made a ('shocking pink', but a khaki green version) coif from knitty, and I'm planning on making a bigger version that doesn't have any holes, and actually fits my big head next. But seriously ,it came out half decent! I'm even going to consider trying out another pattern soon! ( That's only if my sewing block doesn't budge anytime in the near future!). I thought it might be something good to do while I'm up north for a fortnight or so next month, as block or no block I'll not have a sewing machine to play with.
I've been thinking about all the courses I'd love to take, although I'm never going to have time ,and well.. I'm not sure you can even take courses on some of these topics. But these are some of the things:
* Screen printing
* Pattern drafting (mostly just altering them)
* website developing
* Maori language
* Dutch
* Fashion design
* baking

Haha and add 'doing a better job of putting up with my annoying boyfriend' to that list too. Because hooo-damn I'm about to throw him out a window. And it's not even his fault, despite telling me how much of a crap housewife I am, he's done nothing wrong. It's all this frustration from not being able to sew that is turning me into a cranky fishwife. I'm even constipated, which is too much information ( TMI for all you internety fiends), but I swear its from not being able to get my crafty ideas out of my head and into reality, but even if thats not the case, its certainly not helping with the crankiness.

So it looks like the rest of the month will be spent knitting, watching television and doing other such unproductive activities, and the last remaining s'n'b nights will be spent ironing fabric. crappity, crap, crap.
