Last weekend Shasta and I drove wayyyy down to Pueblo to join my family for my brother Christian's birthday. Technically his birthday was July 2nd, but he wanted to celebrate this past weekend instead...
Anyway, Christian had just bought a fishing boat so he wanted us to join him in a maiden voyage on Pueblo Reservoir. We had a great time, too, though I found myself wishing I'd brought a swimsuit and some fishing gear. :P

Dad, Mom, Me & Shasta
Pretty fun times, though it was HOT. :P
This weekend we have oh so much yard work to look forward to. *sigh* We decided we're going to have to do the labor of installing our backyard fence ourselves, because paying someone else to do it will be about $2000. So this weekend we're going to do the prep work... cut down several trees, trim back bushes, move rocks out of the way and mark the post holes. Shasta's got a client who has a construction business and has offered to come out and dig most of the post holes with his machine for us, meaning we'll only have to dig the ones by hand that his machine can't reach...
We just have to figure out the timing, so that the empty holes aren't sitting there for very long because I don't want it to rain and have them get washed away.
Not looking forward to the next few weekends at all... but I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to having a fence at long last, so I'll suck it up for now. :P
