I SHOULD be sewing right now. In fact, I should have been sewing yesterday as well, but after months and months of sewing-filled weekends I am feeling rebellious. *sigh*
Friday night we went to see Gabrial Iglesias at the Buell Theater, with our friend Johnny and his wife Cheryl... Had a fantastic time, and all the comics were super funny (and Shasta managed to get us some AMAZING seats!) but the show ran very, very late... we didn't get out of the theater until after 1 AM. O.o So by the time we got home and got to bed it was really late, which meant we slept in for a loooong time on Saturday morning.
When we did finally get up, we drove back to the Cricket store because my phone still wasn't working properly. They accelerated our trouble ticket, which was nice of them, but I decided to return my Messager phone and get a Motorola Hint instead. It ended up being a lot more expensive than I was expecting, though. :( Still, I love love love this new phone so I won't complain too much. And, the ticket acceleration must have worked because finally last night my phone started working properly. Whew!
When we got back from our phone trip, we took a nap -- and I slept for more than 3 hours, so when I got up it was time for dinner, a movie, and bedtime again. O.o I did get up at a normal time this morning, after so much sleep, and Shasta's off at her softball practice. I am supposed to be sewing but instead am playing on LJ. :P
I did finish all forty of our wedding favors this week, though!
Painted all the flower pots blue and yellow, then sealed them.
A few of the different seed packets; each favor has one packet of seeds inside.
A couple of finished favors - tied the bubble wands into them too!
I think these will add some pretty color and entertainment at the reception -- and hopefully our guests will have fun taking them home and planting their little seeds. :) We wanted favors that hopefully won't just get thrown away as soon as our guests get home... something that will be fun and memorable, but also not too wedding-favory-ish.
I also picked up a little picture frame at Michael's and made a sign explaining how our wishing rock guestbook works. I'm worried that some of the words are slightly tough to read since I printed our wedding logo behind them, though. O.o
We just need to make a gift card box now, and of course I need to finish the sewing... which I should probably go get a move on. *eyes sewing room ruefully*
