Photos from Pride
Last weekend we went to Pride and I snapped a bunch of photos of the parade. The parade was not as good as it was last year, unfortunately... but we still had a really great time. The weather wasn't nearly as hot and we decided to leave the dogs at home just in case... when we took them last year, the pavement was boiling their little feet and we couldn't really go anywhere or look at anything without having to carry them. :P
There were so many babies there this year! I had a ton of fun watching a nearby couple who had a baby girl, probably just a few months old... they were changing her diaper, and apparently every time Mom #1 would wipe her down, she would make another little mess. Happened about three times in a row, she'd be all clean and then squirt. Mom #1 kept shrieking with surprise, while Mom #2 was laughing so hard she could barely talk. Meanwhile, baby looked entirely unconcerned with the whole thing. Hee.
Anyway, here are some of my favorite photos from the parade:
This drag queen is awesome, she comes every year with her little balloon fairies who make a big show of gathering around her to bow & venerate her general awesomeness.

It's BJ, Howie and Erica from the Alice morning show! I love these guys!! I was only able to get a shot of Howie from where we were standing, but he was definitely hamming it up for the crowd. >D
Speaking of hams, there are always PLENTY of them in the Pride parade...
Lots of glbt-friendly churches participate in the parade -- these guys brought puppets.

We had such a great time! ♥ Pride is always a lot of fun, and I can't wait to be able to bring my own little baby someday. ^^
