Yesterday was the first time i'd ever walked into the pharmacy since I got here. pharmacy might be stretching it a little. in american terms, it's a drugstore.
AND I NEVER KNEW THAT NAIL POLISH COSTS SO MUCH HERE! seriously. i've only been buying nail polish off ebay since i got here, and to see revlon going for aud15.95 here gave me a complete shock. why on earth will i pay $15.95 for revlon when i can get china glaze for $8 inclusive of shipping?! call me a nail polish snob, but i'd rather pay $8 for china glaze and opi than for revlon. especially since revlon doesn't really have a wide range.
so i was walking around priceline (the pharmacy) when i noticed this bargain display stand! and i was freaking out when i saw that EVERYTHING ON THE STAND WAS GOING FOR $2.99. TWO NINETY-NINE!!!! ranging from lipliners to eyeliners to liquid eyeliners to lipstick to NAIL POLISH. it's like, the aussie version of superdrug's MUA's £1 line!! it's called beauty plus. and so, being the highly-depressed-after-a-shit-day-at-uni girl i was, i bought one of every colour that was left. but i only bought the eyeliners (they came with smudgers at the end!!!), liquid eyeliners and nail polishes. i had to get the nail polishes!!
the cashier charged me $22, which i thought was a really odd number if each item was $2.99 but i didn't think too much about it. it was only when i got home and was looking through my haul that i realised each item was in fact, $2!!!! I BOUGHT 11 PIECES OF MAKEUP FOR $22! how amazing is that?!
i tried one of the polishes, and i'll upload the swatch later or tomorrow! when I remember. i'm trying to diversify my writings.
