Summary: Yamada got stranded inside Yuto’s house and Yuto doesn’t seem to mind at all.

-

Rain poured hard as Yamada stared at the dark skies from inside the Jimusho. He sighed. How the hell was he going to go home now with this kind of weather? He even forgot his umbrella, damnit.

It was already time to go home and everyone was getting ready. The young man glared at the rain, wishing already that it would go away. His face was reflected on the window and Yuto didn’t fail to notice it. He knew that rain is one of the things that his friend really hates, especially when it comes unexpectedly and when he wasn’t able to bring an umbrella.

“Yama-chan,” Yuto called, successfully gaining the attention of his friend. Yamada turned to the voice who called him and gave him a questioning look as to why he was called.

Member by member left the room until the both of them were the only ones in the HEY! SAY! JUMP dressing room. Why aren’t you going home yet? The question hung from Yamada’s eyes and Yuto saw right through it, like he always does.

“You could stay at my house first and wait until the rain calms down. It’s going to be lonely to wait for the rain to stop here.” Yuto suggested his smile bright as he looked at his friend. The latter looked back at the window and seeing that the rain won’t stop soon, he had nothing to do but agree. He knew in his heart that he doesn’t want to be alone in the building.

Yamada nodded silently as Yuto motioned for the both of them to pack their stuff and head home. Among the both of them, Yuto’s house was nearer the Jimusho that’s why there are times when some other members stop over at his house to hang out and just chill. It was a place where Yamada was very familiar of. He had, of course, been there many times way before they even debuted.

“Tadaima!” Yuto called. Both of them changed into the awaiting dry slippers and got inside the house.

“Okaeri, Yuto,” His mother greeted with a smile and saw Yamada with his son. “Ah. Yamada-kun, it’s been a while since you visited us.” She said and smiled, Yamada greeting her as well.

“I’m sorry,” Yamada started. “We’ve been kinda busy these days.”

“Well, don’t hesitate to always visit us, okay?” Yuto’s mom said. “Now I’ll leave you boys to dry up now.” Yuto nodded and bid his mother good night as both boys went inside Yuto’s room.

“It doesn’t seem like the rain’s gonna stop anytime soon. Why don’t you sleepover here, Yama-chan?” Yuto suggested. He knew that both of them are already tired and he was sure that Yamada was lazy to get up once his body hit the bed. Yamada could only nod sleepily and Yuto passed him some of his night clothes for his friend to change to. He’s not going to let Yamada sleep in his wet close, is he?

Both boys changed into their sleeping clothes and went to bed. Good thing Yuto’s bed was big enough for the two of them. Well, he wouldn’t really mind getting closer.

Yuto pulled the covers over them and bid his friend good night. The latter did the same and his eyes were about to close shut to dreamland until a loud roar of thunder opened his eyes wide making him suddenly shift closer to Yuto.

The taller one felt a tug on his pajama top and saw Yamada burying his head deeper and deeper into his chest as the thunder outside continued clapping. How could Yuto forget? Yamada was afraid of thunders above all.

Yuto wrapped his arms around his friend and pulled him closer, cooing him from time to time. He lifted one of his hands and ran it through Yamada’s soft dark hair, still trying to calm him down. After minutes of caressing and cooing, Yamada still didn’t calm down and the other boy knew he had to distract his friend from the loud thunders outside.

Without thinking, Yuto called his friend softly while still caressing his hair. “Ryosuke,” He called tenderly making Yamada look up at him and their eyes met in a loving and comfortable gaze. Yuto’s caresses stopped as he leaned in and pulled Yamada’s face closer to his and their lips met softly against each other.

Yamada’s eyes widened at the sudden contact but he felt his heart thump faster against his chest and he knew he had to choose between this kiss and the loud thunder. He chose the former, of course. He let his instincts guide him until he closed his eyes and fell deeper into the kiss, until he realized that he was already kissing Yuto back.

The other one didn’t mind at all. Yama-chan’s afraid of thunders; I had to think of a distraction. Yuto kept on encouraging himself that that was the only reason he kissed the other in the first place. However, he just couldn’t ignore the fast thump against his chest especially when he finally felt Yamada kissing him back. The latter held onto Yuto’s pajama top tighter until both of them already needed to breathe.

They pulled away from each other, breathing heavily while staring into each other’s eyes, the loud thunder from outside already being ignored. Actually, it seemed that Yamada didn’t hear anything anymore except the loud thump of his heart while staring into Yuto’s dark eyes.

He felt himself smiling as well when he saw a smile slowly forming in Yuto’s bright face. At that moment, without saying anything, they knew in their hearts that it’s already going to be a start of an unwritten commitment relationship for the two of them.

Whenever Yamada would hear thunder claps, he knew exactly to whom he’d run to and whenever Yuto would hear thunder claps, he knew exactly what to do when Yamada approaches him.

Maybe thunder claps weren’t so scary anymore after all.
