Get ready for crappy science: Why grey aliens cannot be evil.

(Disclaimer, lots of this may not be very scientifically factual at all. I don't care.)

Last night was one of those random nights when I get myself (or someone else gets me) all scared about aliens. Everyone has something they're afraid if and for me it's hostile or scary-looking aliens ( Read more... )

Thank you for commenting! At least somebody still reads my LJ (even though I don't read anyone else's! I just need s place to write things that isn't Facebook sometimes.)

I've had a LOT of dreams with aliens in them or with me being an alien. I even had a strange spiritual encounter in which I believe the spirit was not of this world. And in one case I had a dream of somewhat tallish Greys, they were exactly my height and had crashed near me. They tried to run away but I ran right up them and telepathically told them I meant them no harm and wanted to help them. One if them stood close to me, we were standing face to face, and I smiled, having a caring feeling in my heart. The others who ran away slowly came back realizing I was nice, and for a moment there was a very peaceful feeling in the dream. It however, took place on a country road in the late evening, so it was dark. However I wasn't alone and again, the Greys' eyes weren't enormous like they show in movies - they were only slightly larger, maybe the same size as human eyes, but totally black. They also had noses and mouths but they were very small, but not like a frogs slit noses.

Anyway sorry I got off track there!

I've never had dreams in which aliens had done something to harm or scare me, without my consent. I did have a dream where birdlike aliens put something in my brain but we talked about it and I agreed to it!

I've had scary dreams where I look up at a star in the sky and it moves and I know it is a UFO and I become terrified and wake up shortly after, but I can't understand why I have these! Why I'm afraid of them at all! I've never dreamed of them doing horrible things to me and never had or known anyone who's had a scary encounter.

Perhaps it is the media - the movies and TV shows and documentaries all set to a scary tone, installing fear in people because it is new and unknown.

Maybe it is simply an intrinsic human anxiety coming out because it is unknown territory.

They would certainly be much more technologically advanced than us, so we would be hopelessly at their mercy. That is completely new for humanity, because the entire planet is vulnerable to that. But I think that with such supreme technological knowledge and skill would also come with supreme social knowledge and skill and they would thus have to be benevolent, or at the very least, friendly but cautious and largely interested in trade and business. At the very least. Ideally they would come and lead us but I think a highly evolved society would know that it is better if we evolve on our own. Still, I think it helps so have a gentle push now and then. Or a friendly reminder ;)

It's ok, I only have one friend who comments to my LJs too :P

Dreams are weird. Aliens are weird. I like weird. Weird is what made man think outside the box.
It's weird, the dreams I have that include aliens, are always like a full story line. My regular dreams are just random situations, a chain of stand-alone events. But the dreams with aliens could be movies. I wonder if "having aliens in them" has anything to do with it?

It's also because everyone is scared of aliens, and the only encounters ever documented are abductions, because it's sensational. That's what I think anyway.
