Yesterday was the National (American [they often seem to forget to say that, don't they?]) Day of Prayer (

From the

1. Do you pray? Why or why not? (If it's no feel free to skip 2, 3, and 4.)
I do. Sometimes it's in a church. Sometimes it's in the breathless reply of a desperate heart. Sometimes it's alone. Sometimes it's with a group. But when I'm pursuing my calling, it's constant.
2. To which deities, entities, or forces do you pray?
Let's see, there's my version of God (the holy trinity). There's the Gospa, Queen of Peace (Mary). There's Mary Magdalene, St. Joseph, St. Therese, those who have died who I admire, various manifestations of the goddess, and whoever else I want to throw in.
3. When do you pray (e.g. at set times, when in fear, when thankful)?
Whenever I think to. Sure there are times that I do it when I'm desperate. There are other times that I send a quick prayer upward in gratitude for the good that has come to me. I also pray when I have questions, when I need a sign to point me in the right direction.
4. How do you pray? With gestures? With words? Out loud or in your head?
Usually in my head. Even when reciting the rosary, it's in my head. I don't like people seeing me pray. I prefer for it to be very private, although i am also starting to come up with some rituals I can perform in my home when no one else is around.
5. How do you feel about the idea of a national or international day of prayer?
I don't understand why it's necessary. the faith of every man is personal and his own business. People will pray or not pray according to the dictates of their own personal faith.
