Okay, I'm home for two weeks, and then I am moving back to Albany. I'm staying on campus this summer through next May...Empire Commons woohoo. I move in June 2.
I have a ton of stuff and it took a long time to move it all out. I feel really guilty about having so much stuff, cause there is just no room in my house. So, today I have been going through some of it. I'm going to donate it to St. Pat's. I went there today, actually, and picked up a couple things for my apartment.
Derek is graduating on Sunday. His family is coming up from Tennessee, which is neat because we probably we won't get to see them too often any more. Derek is going to spend the two weeks after graduation til we move onto Empire in Tennessee. I really wanted to go, but I just couldn't afford it. I'm paying the extra cost is costs to live on Empire for the summer... I am going to be broke.
I thought I would have a job, but none of the intern places I applied to worked out. I am going to march with the band this summer, but Parades are few and far between. Only 13 between now and September. I might also work a couple weekends at Shady Harbor, because I like it there so much. I guess I'm going to check out places on campus, like the library. I DO NOT want to go back to the Chemistry Stockroom, because the people there are idiots, minus Jen's dad, who is the boss. He is the best boss one would ever want. I don't really want to work at the mall, because I can't think of any stores that really appeal to me. Also, I need to work somewhere where I can walk OR take the bus....because I am not going to have the car on campus this summer. Can anyone think of places for me to work??
In other news, this semester went by pretty quick. I think I got As in everything except physics, which was a total screw-over. For a 100-level class, there was way too much work and the teacher wasn't really into teaching so much as like...doing homework examples. but WHATEVER THAT SHIT IS DONE WITH. I got a 100 on the managerial accounting final. I got a 100 on the financial accounting final last semester, too.. SO EAT THAT BUSINESS MAJORS. I also rocked my math final, but whatever, that class was easy.
My sister Kelly took over my bed at home, so I guess we've switched. With two bunk beds in one room for four girls, it doesn't really matter where I sleep...especially since I'll only be home for 2 weeks. So, I'm washing my sheets and stuff and making my bed.
I don't have a lot planned for the two weeks, probably work a few days at Shady Harbor, and maybe see some people. There's parades over Memorial Day weekend. I guess I just need to get my stuff organized and try to find a job.
