Welcome to the world, Jordan Rose Tangman!
So Katrina had Jordan! She's 8 pounds, 8 ounces and 21 inches long!
I got to stay with her and it was such a beautiful experience! To experience a life at its beginning. To hear the first cries of a fiery little girl. I'm just so thankful i was allowed to be there. She's so perfect! So BEAUTIFUL! Alot of babies when they're newborn, look like wrinkly ugly old men. But not this baby! Man.
Katrina was in labor for almost at total of 14 hours. Holy fuck. She pushed for two and a half straight. The strength that that woman possesses astounds me. SHe did so well. She was so amazing. I'm just...so.fucking.proud.of.her.
And I'm completely and utterly stoked that Jordan shares a birthday with ELVIS! When Mrs.Maureen and Travis left to get some breakfast for us it was just me and Katrina in the room. ANd while Katrina ate a little something, i got to hold the most perfect little girl in the world. We walked to the window and watched the sunrise. And I sang "Can't Help Falling in Love" to her. She opened up one eye and stared at me like Popeye. That was probably her way of telling me to shut up. But it was such a beautiful moment that I will never ever ever forget. I didn't want to leave!!! She was just..ugh. Amazing.
By the time I left, it was about eight a.m. I had been awake since four a.m. the previous morning. So I was just a smidgen tired. But still...i had such energy! when I left i stopped by my moms. I just...wanted to see her. After witnessing that, i felt like i could appreciate her more deeply. So we talked and hugged and cried.
I almost fell asleep at the wheel the entire time i was driving, but thankfully i got home ok. Took a nap. But woke up with a start and just couldn't believe it.
JORDAN IS FINALLY HERE!!! YAY!!!!!
