Summary: Fraser watches Ray dance.

Fraser was standing alone in a snowfield. Thick, wet snowflakes were falling from a dark and cloudy sky. The sound of howling wind was terrifying beautiful. Suddenly, there was a break in the clouds and Fraser whole body was warmed by bright, golden sunlight.

Fraser awoke. He rolled over and his arm came to rest on a cold sheet. For a moment he thought he was sleeping alone in the consulate, but the scent of shampoo and laundry detergent told him he was in Ray's bed. Fraser smiled to himself thinking about all the things they had done and had yet to do in that bed, and he went to look for Ray. Springs squeaked as Dief jumped on the empty bed and laid down.

Fraser walked down a darkened hallway and stopped just outside of the living room.

Ray was dancing. White boxers were his only clothing. Moonlight from an open window made Ray's skin glow.

Ray's eyes were closed, as if he was listening to music only he could hear. His movements were fluid and quick; his metal bracelet was a flash of silver. Fraser wanted to join Ray, Ray would kiss Fraser's neck until the dancing became erotic, but for now Fraser was content to watch.

The first time Fraser had danced with Ray, Fraser had been surprised by how enjoyable the experience had been. Usually when he had danced, Fraser heard his grandmother voice in his head, chiding him for not performing the steps exactly.

Fraser thought Ray was perpetual motion personified. Whether it was drumming his hands on the steering wheel of his car or hitting a punching bag, Ray never seemed at rest.

As Fraser watched Ray move, he was reminded of a swimming polar bear; Ray was something both powerful and graceful.
